i know most of us on here would give an honest opinion

hmm i think this would be a mine feild matey say you tell a guy that xxx is worth £xxxx and then he sees the same sell for more after, he gonna be mega pissed at you i think the whole value thing is personal, I've always said second hand should be 50% of new unless showroom cond but not many will agree Look at Leighton, he charges top end prices but fair play to him some items do actually sell! i think people need to decide for themselves, they can ask for an opinion but when you give a recommendation its kinda formal

i like to sell bargains, i like the satisfaction i get from goodwill and saving people money and i think thats what forums should be about...helping each other! there is a small difference between helping and patronising so forgive me if i sound like robin hood if i have finished with something i would rather give it to someone who will USE it rather than have it sitting in the shed.....And if that someone is a youngster or a beginner deserving and keen i will bend over backwards to help them........tbh i wouldnt mind giving stuff away if i knew it would be appreciated nothing worse than selling something cheap only for the person to sell it or try to sell it for double years later, Phil you know who i mean LOL its all a personal thing

lol thats my point is that some people dont really know how much they should be asking and if someone need to ask it wuld be there for them then ,
maybe someone wants to sell something on e-bay not the forum and wants to know our opinion on how much they should sell for
thats the type of thing i was thinking and like you say one may say one and another may say something else but if a few answer they'll get an idea of how much
anyway not to worry it was just a thought,

Just saying that my estimates are always lower than others i think where money is concerned its best to mind our own tbh wasnt knocking your idea jon, and im sure it would help some people i think they should ask though, maybe in the tackle section having a section or a thread giving advice makes it a bit sketch in my opinion
