I have fished this river for years with glamorgan anglers mostly for pike, had a 13lb barbel on a livebait once at the bottom of the biblins stretch, i thought it was a salmon ha ha. The bibs has done my mate 2 12 pounders this season and a 7lb chub on trotted worm from swims that most overlook, Good luck next time lads hope the level is good for you, I keep catching it wrong everytime Dan

Level not to good bud, needs a good flush through tbh,i'd rather fish it with 6 foot on(feel more confident) had a n 11.05 bule and a 7.02 chub from a swim which nobody bothers with.

Nice chub they seem to be getting much bigger lately, i'm not a massive fan of barbel since the bibs started getting too busy but my mate stef is having a really good season on light tackle with worm corn, hemp and caster, 8 doubles so far, it seems the boilie, groundbait and pellet approach is starting to blow as the fish are getting bigger and wiser. The wye is an awesome river but its not as easy as it was 3 years ago when i last fished it for barbel
